    2019

In 2017-18 we consulted members of Bruce Grove’s communities to understand your views on the area and identify potential improvements.

In 2019, the feedback from the community consultation informed the Strategy for Tottenham High Road and its vision for Bruce Grove town centre. The vision was for the town centre to be extended behind the High Road to the east, providing opportunities for small and independent businesses and creating spaces where the diverse local community feel comfortable to shop, proud to work, keen to socialise, and take pride in welcoming visitors.

The council undertook a 'First Steps' engagement to get your views before starting to draft the new Local Plan. The Local Plan sets out a vision, strategy and policies to direct and manage growth and placemaking across the whole borough. The Local Plan is used to decide planning applications for land development (i.e., new buildings and changes of use) and provides a wider strategy to help guide placemaking interventions and investments like Your Bruce Grove. The First Steps engagement has provided us with important information about your priorities and aspirations for Bruce Grove, which we have taken into account to shape the Your Bruce Grove project.
